One of the intimidating (and exciting!) aspects of adventure racing is navigating your team through the
wilderness with only a map and compass. This clinic is here to help!
In the morning, you'll learn to interpret topo maps, use your compass, plot coordinates,
plan your race route, find where you are and more importantly, figure out how to get where you're
going. The afternoon will be spent applying your new navigational prowess on a bush trek, with
the help of experienced adventure racers.

Have a blast learning and practicing just about EVERYTHING you need to successfully complete your first 24-hour
adventure race.
(with the exception of navigation.. join us Saturday too!)
Play with samples of the race gear you'll need, learn about race food, practice common bike repairs,
efficient canoe paddling techniques, packing & organizing your gear bin, completing efficient transitions, and important
teamwork strategies.

WHAT TO BRING:
Compass (recommended declination adjustable), Pencil, Highlighter, Map Bag (or large ziploc bag), Outdoor
Shoes & Hiking Clothes (appropriate for weather), Water Bottle/Hydration Pack, Backpack, Snacks, Whistle,
Bug Spray, Sunscreen
