If you are interested in learning more about adventure racing, want to experience being part of this exciting event,
or just want to help out and give back to this great sport, join us as a race volunteer!

For 2011, we are looking for enthusiastic team members to fill the roles of:
CHECKPOINT / TRANSITION AREA CREW
This is the best way to see adventure racing up close.
CP/TA crew check teams
in and out of TAs, wait for teams to arrive at CPs, provide lots of racer encouragement, and load/unload gear from gear trucks.
Requirements:
Enthusiasm, Team Attitude, & Transportation to Race Host Site.
A Camera and Photography is a bonus!
** CANOE-IN CAMPER - Special for 2011! **
This year's route includes a remote CP at a campsite that is best accessed by canoe. We are looking for a special
person, pair, or family who would like to canoe in and camp for the weekend while manning this checkpoint.
Requirements:
Canoeing and Camping starting Saturday morning or Friday thru to Sunday morning.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID TEAM MEMBERS (Just in case..)
EFA Team Members are available at TAs to assess and treat any injuries or potential medical problems
that racers may experience during the event. In a major emergency, EFA team members may
accompany a mobile racer retrieval team into the race course to assist an injured racer.
Requirements:
EMTs, EMT students, or those certified in wilderness first aid or as a first responder.
PRE-RACE COURSE TESTERS
Not able to race but wanting to experience some of the fun the racers are in store for? If you've got
some AR experience and can navigate, we would LOVE to have you test out some sections of this year's race
course. Let us know when you would like to head out and which discipline(s) you prefer to
test. We will hook you up with maps and CP race directions.. maybe I'll even support crew for you!
Requirements:
AR and navigation experience, ideally a partner for safety, ABILITY TO KEEP QUIET ABOUT THE RACE ROUTE!!!
POST-RACE CP COLLECTORS
Want to get out to experience (re-experience??) some of the race course on Sunday afternoon or Monday? We
would love your assistance in cleaning up the race course and retrieving CPs.
Requirements:
AR and navigation experience

While we do not have prizes for volunteers and can't promise you a lot of sleep, we can offer
an exciting experience, an inside look at adventure racing, and some great memories, along with an event t-shirt and
post-race meal.
